Listing on Nearby Pest is free, and verification is the whole product. We build county-by-county directories that homeowners find when they search for pest control, and every company we show carries its state business license number, the license’s status, and the date we last checked it.
We build listings from each state’s own published record of pest control business licenses — not from submissions: in Texas, the Texas Department of Agriculture’s list of current Structural Pest Control business licenses; in Florida, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ public Pest Control Business Licenses report. If your company holds a current business license in either state, it is likely in our records already under the name the state files for it. Search your company name to check, and if it is not there, the reasons below are the likely ones.
Your business name as the state files it, your license number, its status, the date we last checked it, the county of record and your phone number. A Florida listing also shows the city on your FDACS record and the services your license categories name. Nothing else is implied. We do not write a description of your work, and we do not publish a service area you have not told us about.
TDA’s published file carries no phone number, email or street address for any business — only the names, the county and the license dates. We publish a listing only once we hold a phone number for it with a basis we can state, such as a number we confirmed on your own website, so a licensed Texas company with no such number is in our records but not yet on the site. The fastest fix is to claim your record and give us the number you want homeowners to call. Florida listings carry the phone number on your FDACS record.
Claiming lets you add or correct the phone number, tell us the work you take on and the ZIP codes you actually serve, and keep the record current. What you tell us is shown as what you told us — labeled as provider-declared, never dressed up as something we verified. A claimed record is left alone by our importers, so your corrections are not overwritten on the next roster refresh. Claiming does not move you up a page: ordering is driven by verification strength, and there is no paid placement on this site, now or later.
Apart from a missing phone number in Texas, the most common reason, in either state, is that the state’s record shows the license as expired. We go by the expiration date, not just the status word: a Florida license that FDACS’s report still calls Active is not listed once its expiration date has passed. We do not guess contact details either. It is fixable: renew with your state agency, and we will pick the renewal up the next time we read its records.
Keep your license and insurance current with your state agency and your phone answered. That is the whole deal. We do not charge for listings, we do not sell leads to whoever pays most, and we do not run a pay-to-rank tier.
Tell us which listing is yours and what should change, and we check your license number before we touch it. Claiming is free and does not change where you appear: order is set by verification, and there is no paid placement.
Not listed yet? Send your business and license number, and we list you once it checks out against the state record. No charge, no credit card, no pay-to-rank.
